Win-An-Artist Contest
Each school will select one Club Amick
book, and together, the children will produce a three page
written review about the book, along with a visual that reflects
the content of the book. A panel of three people will select
three winning schools. Each winner will each receive a visit
from Chad Solomon who will hold a half-day art workshop with the
children.
A word about the artist:
Chad Solomon is a member of the Henvey
Inlet, Ojibway First Nation in Ontario, Canada. He is the
creator of “Adventures of Rabbit and Bear Paws” a comic series
set in the 1750’s that features the hilarious antics of two
brothers, Rabbit and Bear Paws. Using Traditional Native
Teachings and humour, the stories are based on The
Seven Fires
Prophecies and the Seven Grandfathers.
