Post Card Contest

Amick and E.T. the Librarian love receiving mail. In fact, Amick checks his mail box every day hoping there are postcards waiting for him! Club Amick is running a contest to see which member sends the most postcards over the school year.

Remember, art can be more than just drawing or colouring. Here are some ideas you can try:

  • Use a photograph you have taken or make a collage of photos

  • Write us a poem or rhyme and put it on your postcard

  • Use the current Club Amick theme to inspire your art

  • Make a craft that represents your culture and send it, or a photo of your craft

Don’t forget that you can practice art in different ways in your life too! You can make up a play and perform it for friends and family. How about collecting things from the natural world to include in your crafts, like painting beautiful stones to make a miniature rock garden?

Make sure to tell Club Amick and E.T. the Librarian about your projects too! An award and a prize will be given to the person who sends in the most postcards between September and March. Post Cards must be submitted by March 15, 2011.
