Post Card Contest

E.T. the Librarian has been busy looking at the colorful and exciting postcards that you have been sending in! We can see that many of you are growing artists and we love to see all the creative things you can do with your postcards. Club Amick is running a contest to see which Club Amick member sends in the most postcards over the school year.

Art can be more than just drawing or coloring. We love new and really creative postcards, so here are some ideas you can try:

  • Use a photograph you have taken or make a collage of photos

  • Write us a poem or rhyme and put it on your postcard

  • Use the current Club Amick theme to inspire your art

  • Tell us about an instrument you made and how you played it (send us a picture too!)

  • Make a craft that represents your culture and send it, or a photo

Don’t forget that you can practice art in different ways in your life too! Make up a dance, tell a story, sing a song or make some jewelry and show a friend. Make sure to tell Club Amick and E.T. the Librarian about your projects too!

*The contest runs from January 1st to March 14th, 2009.  Submissions should be received at the SOLS office by March 31st, 2009.

**Be sure to indicate which contest you are submitting for. If you have any questions, please contact E.T. the Librarian at:
