Poetry Contest

Club Amick is inviting members grades K-6 to participate in our second Poetry Contest. This year the theme is ‘Music.’ Some ideas include writing a poem about listening to music, how music makes you feel, what kind of music do you like the best, or write about an instrument that you play. The best poems will be posted on the Club Amick website, and the winning authors will receive a prize!

The rules are the following; each poem must be submitted on an 8 ½ x 11’ paper, the poems cannot be longer than 21 lines of text, and you should include visuals with your poem (such as a photograph, drawings, or decorations) in order for your poem to stand out and be original. Remember poems do not always have to rhyme or be very long to be great! Poems must be received by March 31st, 2010.
