Moose Factory

In April 2009, Chad Solomon and E.T. the Librarian visited Club Amick readers at Moose Factory Ministik School located on the island community of Moose Factory. After an exciting ride by skidoo taxi across the ice, Chad and E.T. went on a walking tour of Moose Factory before settling in for the evening. The next day, Club Amick readers attended Chad’s art workshop at their school. During the workshop, budding artists learned how to combine their love of reading and drawing to create their own stories and characters. The visit ended with some game playing and prize giving!

Chad and E.T. would like to extend a huge thank-you to Club Amick readers and teacher Lisa Innes for giving us a wonderful experience. We also extend a special thanks to the Cree Village EcoLodge staff for making our visit so enjoyable. We wish everyone a wonderful summer!!
