The base program is budgeted at $250,000 per year. Through effective fundraising on the Lieutenant Governor’s part, funding remained in place for the entire five years of the initiative. The Government of Ontario has been the lead funder through the Ministry of Citizenship. Club Amick has also received grants from the Ministries of Children and Youth Services and Training, Colleges and Universities and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Many donors have stepped forward with donations of money. We also have the support of several organizations that have made in-kind donations. The Library Services Center has donated space for receiving and sorting the books and newsletters for each distribution.
